Switching Between Windows and Desktops

The DeskSpace System Tray Menu displays each of the DeskSpace desktops and the windows that are on them. You can instantly switch to a desktop or window by Left-Clicking on it in the menu. For example, Left-Clicking on Desktop 2 will switch to the second desktop, and Left-Clicking on Microsoft Outlook will switch to the first desktop (if it isn't already the current desktop) and make Microsoft Outlook the current window.

Windows that have been set to appear on all desktops are shown under All Desktops. Clicking on a window that is on all desktops will make it the current window on the current desktop.

You can also instantly switch between desktops by Left-Clicking on a desktop icon in the system tray.

Moving Windows Between Desktops

You can move windows between desktops by Left-Clicking on a window in the DeskSpace System Tray Menu, then, still holding the Left Mouse Button down, dragging the window over a desktop in the menu and releasing the Left Mouse Button.

Please note that windows that are on all desktops cannot be dragged between desktops.

You can also move a window between desktops by dragging it to the edge of the screen. To move a window between desktops, Left-Click on the window title bar:

Drag a window to the edge of the screen to move it to another desktop.

Then, still holding the Left Mouse Button down, drag the window towards any edge of the screen until the mouse pointer touches the screen edge:

Drag a window to the edge of the screen to move it to another desktop.

The desktop will then zoom out and appear as one side of a cube, and the cube will rotate to show the next desktop. To move to the next desktop, drag the window away from the edge of the screen, and then drag it back until the mouse pointer touches the screen edge. To place the window on a desktop, release the Left Mouse Button.

Please note that moving windows to other desktops by dragging them to the edge of the screen is disabled by default in Windows 7, as built-in Windows 7 features also use the edges of the screen to perform actions.
