FlashAir app is a free tool with useful features for working with a FlashAir card. Using this app, you can view the contents of your FlashAir card, download them to your device or share them with your friends via social media.
The app has been designed so that it should be usable without reading a manual, but this page covers all the features of the app should you need it.
FlashAir is an SD card with embedded wireless LAN functionality. Photos taken with a digital camera can be displayed on a PC, smartphone or tablet without removing the card from the camera.
FlashAir makes sharing your photos as easy as possible, both in person and online. Anyone with a recent smartphone or tablet can connect to the card and download images then and there. You can even post your photos to Twitter or Facebook instantly!
Note: You will need an Internet connection and social networking apps installed.
With FlashAir, no 3G, LTE, 4G or WiFi access points are required. FlashAir can be used anywhere.
To view photos with this app, you need to connect your smartphone or tablet PC to the FlashAir wireless network.
Please see Connecting to a FlashAir Card.
Contents are displayed in three categories: “Photo/Video”, “Music”, and “Folder”. Photo/Video allows you to group by date.

FlashAir configuration settings
This can only be used while connected to a FlashAir. You also need the MASTERCODE.
Note: You'll need the MASTERCODE if your device is not an administrator of FlashAir. The "MASTERCODE" is a code needed to access the FlashAir's network configuration (SSID and password).
By default, any device used to setup FlashAir (PC/smartphone) will become an administrator device. If you want to change network settings on your FlashAir from other devices, you will need the “MASTERCODE”. You can find it using the PC tool or by checking the CONFIG file.
Enable to activate the WebDAV drive.
FlashAir drive makes it possible to copy FlashAir™ files to a computer via wireless LAN using file management software (e.g. Windows Explorer, Finder on Mac computers).
In other words, just like a network drive, you can see files on the FlashAir™ card on your computer when the FlashAir™ card is still inserted into the digital camera or other device that it is normally used in. You can then copy these files from the FlashAir™ card just as you would copy files on your computer.
The FlashAir card has a power saving feature that shuts it off if it has not been accessed for a certain period of time. To turn the card back on, please remove and re-insert the FlashAir card.
Alternatively, the host device (e.g. digital camera) could have turned off, which would turn off the FlashAir as well. In this case, please turn the host device back on and try to reconnect.
This is probably because the Wi-Fi connection with the FlashAir card has terminated. Please refer to the previous FAQ item for help reconnecting with the card.
Thumbnails only appear when the image contains thumbnail data. Digital cameras usually create an image file with a thumbnail, but image files created/modified by other applications (such as a retouching tool) may not have thumbnail data.
A thumbnail is only displayed if the video is compatible with your Android device.
FlashAir Class6 supports up to 8 characters for a file name and 3 characters for a file extension. A long file name will be shortened, with added characters like ~1
.
The “Save” menu is only displayed if you are connected to a FlashAir card.
See "FlashAir Information".
